tunnelto.devPublic URLs for localhost

Connect your agent

The tunnelto MCP server lets a coding agent open public URLs for you. You sign in once in the browser; that creates your tunnelto account if you don't have one. The agent then installs and signs in the CLI and opens tunnels on its own.

Fastest: ask your agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, or any coding agent:

>Set up tunnelto for me by following https://tunnelto.dev/AGENTS.md, then test it with a demo app

Or connect it yourself

[Any agent (npx)][Claude Code][Codex][Cursor][VS Code][Grok][Claude app (web and desktop)][Other MCP clients]

Any agent (npx)
Add it to every agent it finds: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Grok, and more
$npx add-mcp https://tunnelto.dev/mcp --name tunnelto
Then sign in from each agent the first time it uses a tunnelto tool.
Claude Code
Add the server
$claude mcp add --transport http --scope user tunnelto https://tunnelto.dev/mcp
Sign in: inside Claude Code, run /mcp, pick tunnelto, then Authenticate
$/mcp
Codex
Add the server
$codex mcp add tunnelto --url https://tunnelto.dev/mcp
Sign in (opens your browser)
$codex mcp login tunnelto
Cursor
[Add to Cursor]Opens Cursor with the server prefilled. Click Install, then Connect to sign in.
VS Code
[Add to VS Code]Opens VS Code with the server prefilled. Install it, then start it to sign in.
Or from a terminal
$code --add-mcp '{"name":"tunnelto","type":"http","url":"https://tunnelto.dev/mcp"}'
Grok
Add the server
$grok mcp add --transport http tunnelto https://tunnelto.dev/mcp
Grok opens your browser to sign in the first time a tunnelto tool runs.
Claude app (web and desktop)
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste this URL
$https://tunnelto.dev/mcp
Then click Connect to sign in.
Other MCP clients
Add a remote (Streamable HTTP) server with this URL
$https://tunnelto.dev/mcp
Sign-in is OAuth; the client opens your browser when it first connects.

After you sign in

Tell your agent Test tunnelto end to end. It checks your plan, installs the CLI, signs it in with a one-time link (your access key never appears in the chat), serves a small demo page, opens a tunnel to it, and checks the public URL works. New accounts get a free trial; when a feature needs the paid plan, the agent gives you a checkout link.

After that, just ask in plain language:

  • >Test tunnelto end to end
  • >Give me a public URL for my app on port 3000
  • >Expose localhost:8080 at acme-staging.tunn.dev
  • >I need a Stripe webhook URL that reaches localhost:4242/webhooks
  • >Which tunnels are running?
  • >Close the tunnel on port 3000

Server URL: https://tunnelto.dev/mcp. Manage your account at tunnelto.dev/dashboard.
